Roseville is essentially two cities stacked together — a small older core and a huge suburban expansion — and the work splits neatly along those lines.
Historic Old Town, just north of I-80 by the rail yard, and the older east-side neighborhoods have homes from before 1960. Single-car doors, smaller openings, original hardware that's well past its service life. Most jobs out there end up as replacements rather than repairs.
The bigger story is everything built from the 1960s onward — Diamond Oaks and Maidu on the east side, then Sun City Roseville, Stoneridge and Highland Reserve in the 1990s.
