Sacramento is the most varied city we work in — every era of housing is represented somewhere, and the door work splits accordingly.
In East Sacramento, Land Park, Curtis Park, and Tahoe Park, we're often working on pre-WWII bungalows. Single-car single doors, many of them still the originals from when the houses were built. At 80+ years old, these are usually past the point of repair — most jobs out there end up being full replacements with a steel or wood-clad door sized to fit the original opening.
In the Pocket, Greenhaven, and South Land Park, most homes are 1970s tract — two-car steel doors that have aged into spring-failure territory and opener-replacement territory at the same time. Repair-heavy work, sometimes a panel swap from someone backing into the door.
In Natomas, Midtown infill, and the newer East Sac builds, the doors are younger — 1990s and on. Mostly tune-ups, opener add-ons (smart features, extra remotes), and the occasional installer-warranty follow-up.
