Quick summary
We're a family-owned garage door shop. We collect the information needed to talk to you, schedule a service call, run our business, and improve how we reach Sacramento homeowners online. We do not sell your information for money. We do "share" some online identifiers with Google and Meta for advertising — California law gives you the right to opt out of that, and you can do so at any time using the link in our footer or by sending us an email.
The short version:
• We don't sell your personal information for cash.
• We do use Google Analytics and online ads, which California law treats as "sharing." You can opt out anytime.
• You can ask what we have, ask us to delete it, or ask us to correct it. We'll respond within 45 days.
• Email office@lmsgaragedoors.com to exercise any of your privacy rights.
Who this applies to
This Privacy Policy explains how LMS Garage Doors, LLC ("LMS," "we," "us," "our"), a California limited liability company at 8084 Old Auburn Rd, Suite C, Citrus Heights, CA 95610, handles personal information when you visit lmsgaragedoors.com (the "Website"), call us, text us, or hire us for service.
By using our Website or services, you accept this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Website.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of personal information, all of which are categories described under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"):
- Identifiers
- Name, postal address, email address, phone number, IP address, device identifiers, account ID if you create one.
- Customer records
- Service history, invoices, photographs of work performed, signed estimates and warranties, payment-record metadata (we do not store full credit card numbers — those go directly to our payment processor).
- Commercial information
- Records of products and services purchased or considered.
- Internet / network activity
- Browsing data on our site, pages viewed, time on page, clicks, referring URLs, and interactions with online advertisements.
- Geolocation
- Approximate location derived from IP address (city/region level). We do not collect precise GPS location from your device unless you explicitly provide a service address.
- Audio / electronic information
- Voicemails you leave us and text messages you send us. We do not currently record live phone conversations. If we begin recording calls in the future, we will play an audible disclosure at the start of the call as required by California Penal Code §632 and update this Privacy Policy before any recording starts. Twilio (our call-tracking provider) captures call metadata — your phone number, the tracked number you dialed, call start/end timestamps, and call duration — for attribution; that metadata is not the audio of the call.
- Inferences
- Derived information about your interests in garage door services based on your interactions with our site and ads.
Sensitive personal information. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information as defined under CPRA (Social Security number, driver's license, financial account credentials, precise geolocation, race, religion, biometric data, health data, contents of mail/email/text messages not addressed to us, etc.). If we ever do, we will update this policy and provide an opt-out.
Sources of information
We collect information from:
- You — when you fill out a form, request a quote, schedule service, call us, text us, or pay an invoice.
- Your device — when you visit the Website (cookies, browser data, IP).
- Service providers — call-tracking and SMS (Twilio), database / attribution (Supabase), analytics, advertising platforms (Google, Meta), payment processors, our home-service software (Housecall Pro), and similar tools we use to run the business.
- Public sources — Google Business Profile reviews, public property records when scoping a job.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect for these business purposes:
- Provide service — scheduling, dispatching technicians, quoting, invoicing, warranty service, follow-up communications.
- Communicate with you — responding to inquiries, sending appointment confirmations and reminders, replying to reviews.
- Improve our service and Website — measuring how the Website performs, fixing bugs, understanding which marketing channels actually work.
- Marketing and advertising — running search and social-media ads to reach Sacramento-area homeowners who might need a garage door technician, including remarketing to people who have visited our site.
- Security and fraud prevention — protecting our Website, preventing abuse and spam, complying with the law.
- Legal and regulatory compliance — responding to lawful requests, defending claims, complying with tax and contractor-licensing requirements.
Who we share information with
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers and contractors who need it to do work on our behalf — examples: our home-service software (Housecall Pro), our call-tracking and SMS infrastructure provider (Twilio), our database provider (Supabase) which holds lead and attribution data, email service, payment processor, accountant, hosting and edge compute (Vercel and Cloudflare), analytics (Google Analytics), and ad platforms (Google Ads, Meta).
- Legal requirements — when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfers — if LMS is sold or merged, your information may transfer as part of that transaction. You'll be notified.
What we do NOT do: We do not sell your personal information for money to anyone. We do not share your phone number or text-messaging consent with any third party for their own marketing.
"Sharing" under California law. California's CPRA defines "sharing" broadly to include disclosing personal information for "cross-context behavioral advertising" — the kind of online ad tracking that uses cookies and pixels to follow you across the web. Our use of Google Ads and Meta advertising tools meets that definition. You have the right to opt out at any time. See Do Not Sell or Share below.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purpose collected, unless a longer period is required by law:
- Service records (jobs, invoices, warranties)
- 7 years (tax and warranty record-keeping).
- Lead inquiries that did not become customers
- 2 years.
- Website analytics
- Up to 14 months (Google Analytics default), aggregated thereafter.
- Marketing cookies / pixels
- Up to 13 months for advertising audience membership.
- Recorded calls / voicemails
- Up to 12 months unless tied to an active dispute or warranty.
- SMS opt-in/opt-out records
- Indefinitely, to honor your preferences.
Your California privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you live in California, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to know — what categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, purposes, and who we shared it with.
- Right to delete — ask us to delete personal information we collected from you (subject to legal exceptions, e.g., we have to keep tax records).
- Right to correct — ask us to fix inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing — including opting out of cross-context behavioral advertising. See below.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — though we do not knowingly collect sensitive PI as defined by CPRA.
- Right to non-discrimination — we won't deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide you a worse experience because you exercised a privacy right.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
You can opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising at any time.
Use the "Your Privacy Choices" link in our footer — or email office@lmsgaragedoors.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share."
Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser is configured to send the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that signal as a valid opt-out request for the device or browser you're using. SMS messaging
If you opt in to receiving text messages from LMS, here's what you should know:
- What we send: missed-call replies if we couldn't pick up, appointment confirmations and reminders, technician-on-the-way notifications, post-service feedback requests, estimate or quote follow-ups, and replies to your inbound texts.
- How often: typically up to three messages per week, varies by activity.
- From: our office line, (916) 899-2333.
- To opt out: reply STOP to any message at any time, or email office@lmsgaragedoors.com. To opt back in, reply START.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply, charged by your mobile carrier.
Your SMS consent is private. We do not sell, lease, or share your mobile phone number or your consent to receive text messages with any third party for their own marketing purposes. We may share it with subcontractors who help us deliver our own messages — specifically Twilio, our SMS infrastructure provider.
Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, measure performance, and run advertising. For details on what we use and how to control them, see our Cookie Policy.
Children's privacy
Our Website is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. We will never sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 without affirmative authorization. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable physical, administrative, and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we can't guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted over the internet.
